Reporting a fraudulent bot playlist

Solved!

Reporting a fraudulent bot playlist

I’m  having a major issue. I somehow got added to a bot playlist without my knowledge or consent. I don’t pay for playlisting or do anything that would violate terms of service. This is the second time this same group of scammers have done this. I’ve reported them before but nothing happens. I’m scared of getting my music taken down. I’m on disability and not doing to well and music is about all I have left. From doing a google search it seems they have a reputation for doing this to artists .  It’s called Wavr AI.

Hi, just having exactly the same problem right now with the same guys. I really need my songs out of this scam but everytime I check it, it doesn't seem to be there anymore although I can see more than twenty people playing my music in my Spotify for Artists profile. Anyone could give me a hand?

Hi, im having the same problem, at first i thought i was removed from the Playlist after 1 day but im still getting bot streams after 2 days, how can i get rid of it?

We have also been added to a chartmob playlist against our consent.  As an artist, is there an option to remove our music from specific playlists?

it looks like the playlist frequently cycles songs. I’d recommend DMing them still. I tried alerting spotify first but they kept re-adding us and I didn’t want to end up getting banned or something. It was really, really annoying. Now we have a massive ad for a bot service on our profile too. I hate these companies.

Found this thread because this has happened to us now twice as well. Glad we're not the only ones out there this is happening to. There should be a way to report this within the Artist portal. I don't want to be penalized for actions I didn't commit, plus it ruins our stats and hinders our ability to find our real community of listeners.

This is the fourth time I've been added to the chartmob.net playlist, and it is absolutely frustrating. It seems like Spotify doesn't care at all. I'm still reporting these playlists to the Spotify for Artists team, but it feels infuriating to have to report these scammers every two days. I'm so tired of all of this.

Not wanting this to cause my song to be removed. This happened without my doing anything at all. I am concerned it could be fake though as looks like it as big spike of sudden streams.

There is a playlist curator who keeps adding my song to their clearly botted playlist and I am tired of my reports using the official tool leading no where. I have already had my music taken down previously for these exact same playlists.

I redistributed my music, and thankfully my stats remained. But the same shady playlisters keep adding my music to their playlist to "Promote" their "Services".

I have spoke to Spotify help, and there appears to be no one able to remove my music from these playlists. Which I find difficult to believe.

Why can't we have a tool as "Spotify Artists" to remove our music from public playlists?

I'm having the same problem right now. I submitted a form reporting the playlist that added me without consent and generating artificial streams. I guess my biggest concern now at this point is that Spotify won't be able to do anything about it and that I will have my music taken down as a result of this. This is the playlist that I have consistently been added to without my consent, resulting in streams being revoked.

Hey, I'm on the same one. Annoying. They took down my album because of them. They just grab songs from the Distrokid's wheel of Playlists. Relentlessly.

I have been added to the same one, hopefully enough people report it

This keeps happening to me as well. Three times since November, albeit for 3 different artists/projects. Like others, I have not paid for playlist placements or anything, so I have no idea how this has happened. I've looked for a way to report these playlists, but can't find one.

They should investigate BEFORE they take down anything

BEFORE they screw artists

I also encountered the same problem. Tunecore contacted me and said "your tracks have been flagged by Spotify for high levels of artificial streaming."

I have never done any fake traffic behavior. Why doesn't Spotify just delete these BOT playlists and block their accounts and IP addresses?

Normal artists will NOT do artificial streaming.

This guy here is adding various songs of mine to botted playlists and artificially inflating some of my followers numbers- i reported them to spotify, but i feel like they wont do anything. Anyone got any ideas what I can do to stop him ? He has instagram contact details of @slelozen and on spotify he is known as https://open.spotify.com/user/osq1970?si=5RqNmLjOT3m8KCx6NxWwzg

He needs to be stopped as its ruining people's music.

He's done the same to me as well, why do they do this???? Its very frustrating.

I've reported him but seems spotify dont really do anything. So im speaking to my lawyer about writing to them and threatening to sue. I put too much into my music to have it taken down because of these greedy people. Spotifys inaction is actually encouraging these thugs.
