Searching by ISWC or otherwise filtering by PRO

Searching by ISWC or otherwise filtering by PRO

How can I search the Spotify library restricted by Performance Rights Organization (PRO), or otherwise ensure a song is only entirely licensed by either ASCAP or BMI?

I can use Songview at https://repertoire.bmi.com/ to identify an ISWC, BMI, or ASCP identifier.

Similarly, I can use https://www.isrcfinder.com/ to find an ISRC from a Spotify Sound Link.

What I don't know how to do is to connect the dots between these two worlds.

You're right, it would be good for Spotify to store any popular identifiers against each song (and have them referenced in the sourcecode of the page using schema.org markup)

That way it re-enforces Spotify as a serious tool (as well as being a great little jukebox)

To answer your original question though, generally, most services on the internet seem to have their focus on people coming to them rather than trying to integrate into the greater ecosystem.

One exception is Wikipedia's database "Wikidata" which can store all kinds of identifiers for songs for if you can code a bit it may be possible to use that to interlink the ID's .
