Spotify gets stuck on songs and ads

Spotify gets stuck on songs and ads

Spotify will continuously stay stuck on one song or ad and will not change until the app is closed and restarted. The progress bar continues until the app is restarted, as in the bar for a 4 minute song will show it's been "playing" for 2 hours and completely ignores the sleep timer that was set for 30 minutes.

It is the free version. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app twice, cleared all the cache on my phone, logged out and logged in

Yes I'm exactly the same, it can work fine for a day or so, but then it comes back with a vengeance and I'm pulling my hair out with frustration

It happens to me too

I am having the same issue…on my iPhone 12Pro, on my XBox One, and on my laptop.  I regularly check for and implement all software updates for devices and apps. This has been happening for many months, with increasing frequency. Lately, it seems to get stuck on the exact same ad for the Philips-Sonicare toothbrush. I don’t believe for a second that this has anything to do with anyone’s device. It’s happening to too many people and too many different devices, regardless of what “fixes” they try to implement. This is clearly and app issue. I’ve read through this entire comment thread. Please fix it, and stop trying to make excuses.

Hello, sold my Node and bought a new one. Now no problems any more. So maybe it has to do with the Node anyhow.

I have the same problem... super annoying. First Spotify refuses to play any Joe Rogan podcast for several days in a row, now it just freezes randomly on ads...

My Question or Issue

Every three songs or so once a song ends and another should play it’ll show the song starting and count 1, 2, 3, seconds and then reset to 1 until I hit previous song and then skip to make the next song actually start playing. Has anyone else experienced this or have a solution? It’s been happening regularly since December.

Spotify for video games and TVs has bugged and now every time I go to watch an ad, when the ad is about to end, it freezes and the ad is zeroed and there is no way to skip it.

Hi! So I’ve been having an issue with listening to the Joe Rogan podcast. I know ads are done differently from all my other podcasts as they play as like a separate thing. Sometimes it works perfectly but most of the time they bug out and make the podcast not load, or jump forward in the podcast sometimes by 30 minutes or more, other times maybe just a couple minutes. Ads will also pop up whenever I launch the app to watch the video portion for something. That basically always makes it bug and I have to close the app and reopen it. Doing this will sometimes make the podcast play fine after or it will make it say I listened to the whole thing and I have to figure out where I was at again or just make it jump forward in time

Fix the ps5 spotify app.

Everytime i use this app it eventually gets stuck on a song or ad, mostly ads. But when it does do that it gets stuck on the last second, i reported this over 4 times already and not once has it been fixed.

An example of the issue would be if an ad is 30 secs long and by the time its “done” playing it doesn’t move onto the next ad or song. it just gets stuck and says “0:30/0:30” and stay like that FOREVER until you either have to close the app or delete and redownload which still doesn’t fix the issue. the issue STILL doesn’t go away on a different account.

My Question or Issue

When i get an ad, it's always one that goes for 26 seconds. And it doesn't even have any audio. I need to wait around 10-15 minutes for it to actually start working and even then it just skips the ad and says "No songname was found." Something like that. I don't remember the specifics because I'm only writing this after the ad dissapeared and I started playing a song again. Yes i have tried a clean install. Yes I've logged in and out. Yes I've clearly my cookies and cache. No I am not on VPN.

I'm also connected to a Google nest when this most commonly happens.

SAME! SAME IT ALWAYS HAPPENS WITH MY GOOGLE NEST THEN I CANT CHANGE THE DEVICE
