Why do I have to get premium to view lyrics for a song?

Why would this feature be added? All it does is drive people away from the app, especially seen as though premium is hard to afford

You can view lyrics on Spotify free on the mobile app, but there is a monthly limit. On desktop and the Web Player, you will need Premium to view full lyrics. There is more information about viewing lyrics here.

Yea, this implementation makes people who don’t speak the song language really well kinda hard to enjoy the song. This implementation sounds hella ableist. What were spotify staffs thinking before issuing this decision??
