My Question or Issue
Why does Spotify recommend/add songs that I listened to hundreds of times on my liked songs and don`t play songs that I add recently? Can you stop adding songs on my liked songs?
Spotify uses recommendation algorithms to select which songs should be played for each user. These algorithms take into account various factors, such as the songs you listen to frequently, the ones you add to your playlists, and the ones you mark as "don't want to hear". They also take into account the trends of other users who listen to similar music to yours.
It's possible that the songs you've listened to hundreds of times are the ones that the algorithm considers as your favorites, so they're included more frequently in your playlists. The songs you've recently added may not have been played yet, as the algorithms may need more data to determine if these songs are of interest to you.
In addition, the recently added songs may have fewer plays sections compared to the songs you have been listening to a lot, and thus taking longer to be recommended again.
Keep in mind that recommendations are based on algorithms and they may not always hit the mark in terms of your needs, but you can always adjust the recommendation playlist by giving feedback on the music, changing your music preferences, and exploring new music based on your preferences.
I don`t want Spotify adds their `recommended` songs to my liked songs. Please separate `recommended songs` (by an icon if you want) from my liked songs. This thing happened recently.
Where is the "don't want to hear" icon? Can I lock songs that I listen to so many times?
I have this problem too. I'm listening to the songs I like not what Spotify thinks I should like. It spoils the pleasure of my listening. Spotify please allow us to override this annoying feature.
