Why does audio stop after 10 seconds, on the minority of songs that play?

A friend created two playlists. I listened to them on spotify free. I upgraded to spotify premium today, and most tracks don't play at all now, and the rest play for exactly 10 seconds and then go silent. I tried with two different web browsers, and have a gigabit fiber internet connection.

My first suggestion that you check if the payment for the Premium subscription has gone through successfully by heading over to your Account page. Also, you can check your email for a confirmation from Spotify, which should be automatically sent when subscribing for Spotify Premium.

If you can see your payment there, I suggest that you try logging out and then logging back in. 

Also, have you tried logging in your account using your mobile phone?
