Wrong Artist mistake or Spam?

It is the third time that I received a mail or notification from spotify (official mail account not spam) announcing a new album or song of "my fav artis", but when I click in the link it took me to the profile of a different artis. In all cases is a "collaboration" between the artist that I follow and another random artis who has nothing to do with the other (like you see in the image). Is this a Spotify mistake? Can any artist put his song as collaboration with any other without permission?

In this last case (see the images) I just follow slayer not the other two guys or bands

What I think is that those artis take advantage of the good names of famous bands to spread their music. What do you think? Is this happened to you?

Hey @marck_nva,

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.

If you’re aren’t sure of an email that claims to be from Spotify, don’t click any links or provide information. If you already did:

  1. Reset your password.

  2. Change your password on any other sites where you use the same password.

  3. Contact your bank if you think your financial details have been compromised.

To report such emails:

  1. Forward the email to spoof@spotify.com.

  2. Delete the email.

Our team will investigate and let you know if the email is legitimate.

Hope you'll find this useful. Have a good day!
