A Possible Problem

A Possible Problem

Hello,

I have a problem and don't know if the Spotify Linux Player is the culpret or not,so bear with me a moment as I explain.

The Spotify Linux Player was the last application I used and shut down last night before I shut down my computer.

This morning, when I started up my compter,on the line where I enter my password, the top line, where the time is located, worked correctly.

When I got to the Gnome desktop(Ubuntu 16.04,64b,(lts)),the top line that displays the time, the star to shut down, and the buttons to reduce or sideline or delete the page were gone. Also, the icons outside the page's margin, that you move the mouse to bring into the page, are not working.

I mention this to not disparage the player, which works well, but to wonder if it piggybacked onto something to corrupt the desktop?

Can I fix this by uninstalling and reinstalling the Gnome desktop and if so,what is the shell command?

--------------

Thank you.

I've checked around and this is more a Unity Desktop bug than anything wrong with the Spotify Player.

Thanks.
