Discover weekly problem: discovers nothing

The new "discover weekly" playlist created for me yesterday is made by 90% with songs that I've already thumbed up previously. It simply mashes together the same things.

Oh I'm glad it's all good music, but it's supposed to be "discover", i.e. suggest me something new. Do you really want me to go and search for new music myself??? Go through all this pain without help??? What's I'm paying for?

Sorry to hear about this!

My Discover Weekly gives some flashbacks as well, but not as much, most of the content is new... Are you following the playlist? Turns out that if you're not, it's not working as correctly as it should. Re-following can work too. The effects of it will be visible within a week, though.

The feature monitors your playlists and whatever you've saved from the list. There's actually a whole lot more to it. 😉 But that's another story.
You can start a radio channel from the Discover Weekly, actually, so it's not just 30 songs served to you.
