Hardcode font colours

Hardcode font colours

Hi there,

I'm using the Linux spotify preview client with KDE and a dark colour scheme. Since Spotify's default colour scheme is dark gray, it fits perfectly. However, my desktop's dark theme implies white/bright font colours that get implemented in the Spotify UI (which uses light gray background for input fields) and whenever you type something in, it's unreadable.

A quick fix would be to either inherit the input box background from the current desktop colour scheme or to hardcode the font colours to ignore the current theme and always be dark text on light background.

Please check attached snapshots for clarity (search field top left).

Thank you!

I would suggest dropping a post about this on the main linux topic here:
http://community.spotify.com/t5/Help-Desktop-Linux-Mac-and/Spotify-0-9-11-for-GNU-Linux/td-p/842969

The linux client is not an officially supported Spotify application, so we can't open this as a "bug" here on the community.
