Is there a compressed tar.gz file I can use instead of the apt-get/snap repos?

It is on the AUR: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/spotify/. I know the PKGBUILD uses the .deb file but it creates a .pkg.tar.xz from it optimized for Arch and installable by pacman. I dont see any problem in using it.
