In the future, this will not be a problem for Linux users. Thanks everyone!
I can confirm that this works in Ubuntu 14.04 (32bit)
The shown error was: ... NO_PUBKEY 13B00F1FD2C19886 ...
Wait, 32-bit? Do you have the .deb files for the client?
I suppose an `apt-get update` works on any architecture. However as can be seen via http://repository.spotify.com/dists/stable/Release, http://repository.spotify.com/dists/stable/non-free/binary-i386/Release is an empty Release file and the corresponding Packages file is also empty: http://repository.spotify.com/dists/stable/non-free/binary-i386/Packages

Release- / Package-Files 64-bit works,
Release- / Package-Files 32-bit are dead.
Please fix it!

I am running the old 32bit desktop app (version 0.9.x)
For the new 1.0.x desktop app:
you have to wait until @nikreiman and colleagues are finished testing,
I remember a thread where they said it was "ready", but needs more internal testing
This is great, but when I googled for the problem I had with APT, this post was not found, just historic posts when the key needed updating in the past. So, I'm posting here the APT error I got, so that others might find this thread.
W: An error occurred during the signature verification. The repository is not updated and the previous index files will be used. GPG error: http://repository.spotify.com stable InRelease: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 13B00F1FD2C19886
Running
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver hkp://keyserver.ubuntu.com:80 --recv-keys D2C19886
fixed it.
I hope the 32 bit version gets released I just did a fresh install and I cannot install spotify for the moment.
I remember in a thread someone made the "old" 32bit version's package available for download. Tr yto find it if you are addicted enough 😉

I'm in the same boat. Just did a reinstall of 32-bit OS and can't install Spotify. Not good.
Same problem here, upgraded Mint 16 to Mint 17.2 by fresh install. No 32bit found.
How did you solve the problem? As far as I can see all repository folders are more or less empty. Both for 64 bit and 32 bits.
I was having a "missing GPG keys" I just updated the keys with the command below.
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver hkp://keyserver.ubuntu.com:80 --recv-keys D2C19886
I am running Ubuntu 14.04 64bit.
I also uninstalled and re-installed spotify. I removed the spotify repo and added it back.
Either they have stopped supporting 32-bits OS or there has been a problem with the release-/build-process. As you can see this file is empty:
http://repository.spotify.com/dists/stable/non-free/binary-i386/Packages
and there are is only a 64-bit file here:
http://repository-origin.spotify.com/pool/non-free/s/spotify-client/
So I guess only spotify them self can do anything about this.
See both of my comments on page 1 in this thread please.
In short those comments say:
32bit for v1.0 is coming, but later. I am not happy either, since I am on linux32 😞
In a thread (when I have time I'll look) there are some links to the old 32bit apps
Thanks erkan !
to the developers:
Well, if we can somehow help with the testing, let us know !

To All:
be careful - for now - the user has only 2 posts
there's no link to the old posting
no checksum to compare

the software is not hosted from a spotify website, so anything could happen 😞
@StephenVictor do not get me wrong, it's just a warning for users, also the person who uploaded the file could have done something malicious 😞
