Login Error - Incorrect username or password

Spotify took action against the modded apps by disabling them a few days ago. Many people got a mail for the same stating that the application has been disabled and if continued suspicious activity is noticed, they might ban the account. Ever since, I have been unable to login to my Spotify linux client. The client on Mac, web and mobile are working fine but I get a Incorrect username or password error when I try to login to my Ubuntu client. Tried installing the snap as well as the debian version but to no avail. Any suggestions?
