My Question or Issue

I have installed the Flatpak variant of Spotify for Linux on both my personal and office workstations. After setting the options "Open Spotify automatically after you log into the computer" to "Minimized" and "Close button should minimize the Spotify Window" to True, I don't see the Spotify start minimized during the System startup. Instead, it pops up a new window. Although closing the window minimizes the application to the system tray, it would have been better if the app could be minimized to the tray during startup.

There are several Flatpak apps installed on my system, and they don't have the same problem. If enabled, all of those apps start minimized or in the tray. Therefore, I believe the problem is within the app and how it respects the window behavior.

It's disappointing not to get any response after an issue is posted.

Hi, you can use Kde's Kwin rules to capture Spotify's window properties and the set 'minimized' as a property. It's easier than you think.

I have already done so, and it has no effect on that.
