Spotify icon not visible in the task bar on linux xfce desktop

My Question or Issue

The app does not show an icon in the taskbar but instead shows a generic window icon. If the app is left open for long, the icon eventually shows up but then the title bar is stuck with the last song played and stops updating itself. I'm using the snap version of Spotify which seems to be updated to the latest.

+1 same error here, I had the icon before in an older version of spotify

Yeah, this exists in all Linux distros and from a long time, don't understand why they don't fix this. I have the same problem in KDE plasma

Same here, on XFCE - Flatpak - EndeavourOS (Arch based) - Lenovo Yoga
