Can not access Spotify web pages on iMac with any browser

My Question or Issue

 I am not able to access any Spotify web sites on my home iMac using any web browser other than this community and my home page (https://open.spotify.com/settings/account). I cant access my account details, the full web site or even the upgrade page etc.

I have no firewalls or antivirus or pop up blockers etc. I have no issues opening any web site of any type and have never had this issue before with web pages. I have never before tried to access Spotify as I am a new users.

I am running the latest version of everything. I have even tried multiple different internet connections. I have a macbook and a PC that both have no issues.

I can confirm that I am seeing that same issue too!

Downdetector does appear to suggest that there was an issue with the service: https://downdetector.com/status/spotify

I have tweeeted the support team on Twitter to find out what their knowledge is of this.

UPDATE: I was able to get to the main site by Googling 'spotify' and opening the top link. It appears that they have some inbuilt geo location technology that changes the permalink for the homepage. This might be the cause of the issue.
