Cannot install Spotify

My Question or Issue

Cannot install Spotify after deleting the previous version, I cleared the cache and Application support folder -> Spotify. Even after that the installation produces errors.

I'm sorry to hear that you can't install the app.

Have you tried to restart your Macbook and try to install it again to see if that helps?

This did help in eliminating the error message. But the download is taking a lot of time. Activity monitor shows memory usage to be 21 GB. The system hangs and crashes.
