My Question or Issue

After updating to 10.14.3, I was unable to start the Spotify app anymore. Nothing happens onscreen when starting the app.

 

I've tried a clean uninstall(using AppCleaner) and reinstall to no avail. I've also tried installing the app on a new mac user profile without success. 

 

I've attached relevant console logs for anyone who is able to help diagnose the issue. Thanks a ton!

Hey @ohmac, welcome to the Community.

Hope you're doing great!

Try to disable Hardware Acceleration, just click on the spotify Menu in your Menu Bar next to the Apple Menu, just find Hardware Acceleration and next click on it to disable then confirm to restart Spotify.

Unfortunately, there is no Spotify menu to speak of because the app exits immediately after starting without even displaying any screens.

Could you try that from Safe Mode to see if that helps?

If you haven't installed it yet I'd encourage to install the supplemental update to macOS 10.14.3

 

Let me know how it goes.

Finally works after reinstalling mac os.
