Distorted sound

On a premium family account. Listening to a track of Miles Davis and all of a sudden bad distortion (after 3+ minutes or so) that "infect" everything else from that point on. Reducing volume helps a bit, but only if real quiet playback. Otherwise distortion comes right back. From that point on all other songs get distorted. Sometimes waiting a bit or selecting a different device fixes it. But it comes back.

Any ideas?

I'm listening on MacMini Osx10.13.6 with the Spotify app on a bluetooth speaker. Normalize volume was set, I took it off and restarted - same problem happening.

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

Also, make sure to have macOS Mojave 10.14.6 installed.
