Forward and back keyboard shortcut feature no longer working

Since the desktop update a few weeks ago, I can no longer use the keyboard shortcuts to go forward and back! Instead I have to actually use the mouse to click on the tiny arrows at the top.

Why has this feature been removed and for what benefit?
Is there a way to activate the keyboard shortcuts, or have they simply changed to something else?

This is extrmely annoying as for years I've been using COMMAND+[ and COMMAND+] to navigate back and forth - and now all of a suddent it's no longer working...

Could you check if you have changed the keyboards language layout on your Mac? Learn more from this article.
