Try following the instructons on the Clean reinstallation page, but stop at the point where it tells you to install it again.

Thanks Anthony, I'll just add for completeness, you need to trash Spotify in Applications as well. (the clean reinstall instructions don't remove it as they expect you to just write over it)
Can't seem to find clean reinstalation ? Where do I find this on a Mac?
Get AppZapper. Removes all associated files and the app. I'm doing this because my Mac app stopped syncing with my iPhone. After reinstalling everything synced up fine.
You can fine the Spotify app in your Applications folder. Start AppZapper and drop the Spotify app in the window...then zap it.
