My Question or Issue

Recently I've began noticing an issue with the battery impact and usage of Spotify. Sometimes when using the app it'll randomly shoot up to like 300 energy impact and at times like 4000 power usage the last 12 hours and my device runs hot. I've spoken to Spotify Support, reinstalled and cleaned the cache but to no avail.

Hi there. Im also experiencing higher battery consumption and overheating when using the spotify desktop. I have checked activity monitor and seen spotify helper running 35%-40% when no songs are being played and when I play a song it jumps to 45%-60%. This is not healthy for my Macbook Pro M4 as it was causing my laptop to overheat. Spotify Web seems more sustainable than the app itself. Im on version 1.273.474.g7b30bb2b
