Media buttons on Mac OS X 10.9.2 - only play/pause works.

Media buttons on Mac OS X 10.9.2 - only play/pause works.

I have Mac OS X 10.9.2 and the latest version of Spotify. I am unable to get the back/forward media keys to work at all. Play/Pause works fine, however.

In comparison, Vox is able to use the back/forward media keys without any problem.

I use Mac OS X 10.9.2 and a Logitech Cordless Desktop MK300.

Unfortunately I don't know that multimedia buttons have ever worked correctly with Spotify.

They work fine under Windows (all versions). I don't know why Spotify is unable to work while other media players could. (VLC is also a good example). I'm currently using SoHo to handle control (still no button feedback but it has a small GUI in the menu bar).

Did you find a solution? I've got the same problem, can't seem to find a solution yet.

Edit:

I found a solution I got a Microsoft Sindewinder X4 and this worked like a charm.

The 4th option wasn't there for me. All I had to do was to press my Next, Previous, Play/Pause buttons, Mute, Volume Up and Volume Down buttons on my keyboard. The application filled them out. After that just follow the instructions there.

I used the applescript that was provided by Ludalex since I use iTunes for podcasts.

Regards.

It worked perfectly on my previous mac since day 1 i downloaded spotify. Now that I got this new one is not working. Is Spotify working on this? I can't really believe they have this kind of problem being a music streaming service, it's like the most essential feature they need to have.
