Radio not working with Spotify Connect

Whenever I use Radio (whether desktop Mac or iOS version) together with Spotify Connect, the UI messes up. The current playing song (bottom left on desktop player) is not aligned to the Radio UI (middle of screen with thumbs up/down). UI just loses track completely and shows either only the very first song played in radio, or often even random songs not even being / having been played.

I think the Currently playing song is always "correct", but the Radio screen (middle) goes awry.

Please can someone tell me what to do to get Radio to work with Connect. Or whether you know if Spotify is doing something about it...
