Spotify on OSX sending semi-regular packets to 1.1.1.1 on 57621

Spotify on OSX sending semi-regular packets to 1.1.1.1 on 57621

Every minute or so I'll see Spotify send 76 odd bytes via UDP to 1.1.1.1 with "SpotUdp0Y6" in the conversation on port 57621.

From what I can tell, 57621 is used as part of it's P2P system, however what I can't ascertain is why 1.1.1.1?

Is it tunneling or something else?

If anyone's got any good ideas as to why 1.1.1.1 and not any other address then I'd love to know simply so I can tell one of our security bods who's seen it on his network map.

I came here for the same reason, the example I have is a connection every min on x.x.x.255. Being the broadcast from my local network I can only assume the app is trying to find another host to play/share music?

I have the same issue, my Mac is sending packets to 1.1.1.1 on 57621
