Spotify skips tracks immediately, won't play any tracks from my own playlists

So, when I try to play playlists I've created myself it just changes track immediately with the message can't play current track. And it just goes on and on and on. But I can play other playlists and I can play my playlists if I log in with my partners account on my computer and plays it since he's a subscriber. What could be wrong? I've got a mac with OS X Yosemite 10.10.5.

Hey!

Have you tried these steps first:

  • A reboot of your machine;
  • Do your playlists work on a different device in your account, say an iPhone;
  • Can you play your playlists with your account on Spotify web on your mac?;
  • Have you tried reinstalling the Spotify software?

Cheers, Jon

Hi! Thanks for your answer.
I've tried to reboot.
It works on my iPad and iPhone.
And on the web.
I have not tried to reinstall, but I get the updates that tells you to restart Spotify. But I'll try to uninstall and then reinstall it and then get back to you.

Thought it worked there for a second, but no. Still the same issue after reinstalling.

I noticed now that it's not all of my playlists. Just some of them. So wierd..

Have you tried making a new playlist, and copying and pasting all the tracks over from one that doesn't work into the fresh one. That may solve it for the broken ones?

Still the same problem when I copy and make a new one.. 😞 So sad it had to be my favorite playlist..
