My Question or Issue

When I'm listening to Spotify on my Mac (with the volume in Spotify set to max (not system volume)), my iPhone volume goes to max as well, and if I turn down my phone volume, it turns down the music on my Mac as well.

This happens even when I force close the Spotify app on my phone.

Is there a way I can turn this off?

Thanks!

Hi there @JustRoweWithIt,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

Currently the only way to turn this off would be to disable Spotify Connect for your phone.

When you have your Desktop and mobile apps open at the same time (even the app is running in the background) you can still see which song is playing on the computer from your phone. Also, controlling the phone's volume would result in changing the Spotify volume on the Desktop, or any other active device which is in the list of Spotify Connect and is currently playing music.

Hope you find this info useful. Don't hesitate to reach out again if you have more questions.
