What happened to the Filter function?!

guys!  

ive been a huge spotify evangelist since its introduction.  ive been pleased to see it gradually improve as time has passed, and even had some really great features added (like the ability to control one device from another).  

but the removal of the Filter function in the latest version is a mistake of almost DEALBREAKING proportions.

you must fix this immediately.  it makes many of my playlists nearly unusable.

not only should it be brought back, it needs to be always at the top of every play list, quickly accessible.

please fix this post haste. 

like really, its enough to tempt me to switch to another service..

The filter function CTRL / CMD + F is not in the version 1.0.1.1060.

It will come back in a next update (no date known actually)

Well, instead of waiting for features that may or may not be coming back with "no ETA", you can get rid of this unfinished beta piece of crap and enjoy a fully-fonctional Spotify again by reverting to the previous version and preventing it from auto-updating :

This is just a temporary workaround while waiting for Apple Beats to be released so we can all finally move away from Spotify  🙂

ok so there have now been two updates, and still no filter function.

seriously, this is a big problem.  what could possibly be the reason for removing it in the first place???

the search and filter bars should be implemented everywhere, both playlists and "my music" theres no reason not to, its a little simple thing that makes our lives a hell of alot easier. Like hesaid^ its enough to make you want to switch to idk maybe their new biggest threat Tidal thats being endorsed by celebs. fix it please

Yes! The filter function is an absolute must. I do like how now I'm warned I'm adding a duplicate song to a playlist but I can't tell you how many times I've known a word or two of an artist or song I wanted to look up/hear on a huge playlist. The fliter function helped me countless times in finding those songs. Otherwise, I'm just scrolling aimlessly....

spotify constantly crapifies its software and pisses off its users...

i totally loves how they took away the star funktion, destroying hours of listening, creating playlists. and then not having a bulk delete playlist funktion to clean up the mess they made of my data, thus creating another bunch of hours of work for me. O_o
