Will deleting Spotify from my computer delete my local files playlists?

My Question or Issue

My MacBook air stopped playing most songs from the Spotify database. The only songs I can listen to are my local files. I can listen to every song in the Spotify database on my phone fine, it's just my computer that doesn't play them. I want to do a clean reinstall but I have around 1,000 songs in local files that are in playlists. So I wanted to know if I reinstall Spotify on my computer will my local files playlists be deleted?

Hi @Iggy4, thanks for writing!

Spotify can't delete your local files. The app just reads those files wherever they are in your device.

If you do a clean reinstall in your MacBook you'll have to sync them all again. You'll find where the files are supposed to be located in your Spotify prefereces - Local Files.
