spotify won't show up local files

I have a mac and an iphone. I've downloaded about 8 songs and they show up fine on my desktop in the "local files" folder but will not show up on my phone. they won't even play. i've added them to a playlist and downloaded it and all that but they just won't show up on my phone. and when i go to find the playlist on my phone, it says 0 songs. i've downloaded all the songs through the playlists and they still don't show up on other mobile devices. this is so frustrating why am i paying for premium when it's broken af lol
