Desktop downloads what I download on mobile.

Desktop downloads what I download on mobile.

Whenever I download something on my mobile installation it then also downloads it on my desktop. I couldn't find anything about this and it's incredibly annoying. I have absolutely no need to waste storage space on my PC that's always connected to the internet and removing my PC downloads also removed all my mobile downloads.


I'm absolutely sick of this. I can't find anything about this issue nor a way I can disable desktop downloads. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for posting here on the Community and for your feedback.


Can you enter the playlist on the desktop app and then click on the arrow that points down (un-download the playlists) to see if the issue persists?

As I've said before, it removes the download not only from my PC, but also my phone, or at least that's what it did when clicked "Remove all downloads" on my desktop.

We couldn't replicate the behavior you kindly describe. That being said, we'd like to gather as much info as possible. Would you mind letting us know the exact make/model and OS of the affected devices along with the current Spotify version you have running in both of them?


On another note, it'd be great if you send us a short video recording of what's happening, so we can better visualize what you're mentioning. You can attach the video in your next reply in mp4 format, or you can also upload it to YouTube or Google drive and make it public, so we can watch it.


Did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event such as an OS update? If yes, please send us the details.
