Spotify not showing on Discord

My Question or Issue

so i've been trying to show my spotify music on discord and it's not working. i'm on pc and using the spotify and discord applications. the weird thing is, i open spotify web browser and i play music there and it shows on discord. it also doesn't even show my computer as a device i can connect to in the browser. in the spotify application, it doesn't show i have ANY devices. i've tried restarting my computer, logging out of spotify and discord, unconnecting spotify from discord, uninstalling the spotify app, restarting my internet and nothing has worked. someone please help.
