Genre Discovery

I can't find a genre that I really love.  Is there a way Spotify will recommend songs based on what you are currfently listening to?  Any other strategies for discovering new genres and artists?  I don't want to sift through genres I don't like.  Thanks!

The best strategy I can recommend is to follow every artist and collaborator for songs that you like. For every artist you follow you will be notified of their new music as it drops. Curators who follow thousands of artists don't need any algorithm.

'Similar Songs Finder' is good for creating a new playlist based on one song. This is the top tool I recommend because it works surprisingly well. It also serves up artists I'm not following. Many hidden gems that I like. Just be sure to change 'Song' to 'Song link'.

You may like the 'Playlist mood generator, or the 'Music Genre Finder' although I find these unreliable because moods and genres are subjective definitions, whereas a song link is factual. 

I have run  'Find similar songs' many times. In this I used a song that was released a few days ago  'Daddy's Girl'. A smooth R&B, dynamic neo soul track, with octaves or ear-warming excitement. The artist Rosie Belvie has 298 monthly listeners. 'Chosic' has done a great job of matching the feeling of the original track.
