Spotify on Apple Watch has become quite brilliant with enabling users to use the app on their Apple smartwatch devices. All users are already able to play tracks, albums, playlists, and podcasts, and since July 2021, Premium users are also able to download everything they’re listening to for a true offline and phone-free experience. 🎶⌚

Here is a list of the features that are currently available at hand:
Play, pause, and skip music and podcasts;

First and foremost - to be able to set up an Apple Watch (hence enjoy Spotify on it) - you need an iPhone. Spotify app should be installed on the phone. Once it’s installed, you'll need to locate you Watch app.After that, you can scroll down and there will be Spotify icon under Available Apps. Hit on "Install" and the app will start downloading and then you'll be able to see it on the Watch.
Note: If “Automatically install on the Watch” setting is turned on, the Spotify app will automatically appear in the "Installed on Apple Watch" section.
It's important to make sure you’ve paired your Apple Watch to your iPhone with Bluetooth.
Download music and podcasts to Apple Watch so you can listen without the internet. This means you can leave your phone at home and take Spotify with you.
Depending on your Apple Watch model, at least 10 hours of music can be downloaded from Spotify to your watch.
1. On your iPhone, go to a playlist or podcast you want to download. Note:You can’t download individual songs, but you can put them in a playlist and download the playlist. Keep in mind also that there’s a download limit of 100 tracks per playlist. 2. Tap three dot menu . 3. Tap Download to Apple Watch. 4. To check on the progress, head over to the Download section on the Watch.
Tip: If you'd like to speed up the process of downloading playlists to Apple Watch use the trick below: Turn off Bluetooth from the Settings app and keep the Spotify app on Apple Watch open. This will force the downloading process to take place via Wi-Fi instead of Bluetooth.
Is there a Limit to how many songs & podcasts I can download on my watch?
If you're a Premium user, you can download up to 10,000 songs and podcasts. Note: You will need to go online at least once every 30 days to keep your downloads.
Yes, you can control playback - seamlessly playing, pausing, and skipping tracks or podcast episodes - directly from your wrist. You can also use your Apple Watch to control playback from everything, whether it’s wireless speakers, TVs, or gaming consoles, using Spotify Connect.
When you tap the icon you’ll see a list of available devices on your local network - simply tap the one you want to play your music on.
You’ll see your Apple Watch at the top of the list. If you like to control via your Watch and listen to your earbuds or AirPods, choose that option.
Yes, the ability to control Spotify via Siri on Apple Watch is fully supported. This means that this could be done on all Apple devices that use Siri in all countries where Siri is supported.
You can just say “Hey, Siri” followed by your command to play your favorite songs, artists, albums, playlists, and podcasts. You can also “like” music, ask what’s currently playing, and control your media settings, like volume, skip track, play, and pause.
Note: Be sure to end each command with “on Spotify” so Siri knows which service to access. Try this on for size: “Hey, Siri, play my Discover Weekly playlist on Spotify.”
