Add support for Google ChromeCast

Will you be adding support to the ChromeCast that Google announced today? Would be great to be able to easily stream music from all my devices to my receiver and tv.

Update: implementing ChromeCast is superior to using the Chrome browser plugin to move a tab with the Spotify web interface to your TV for multiple reasons. Most importantly:

 - You can stream higher fidelity

 - You can stream from every device, not only from a computer/laptop

 - You can control from multiple devices (so if I leave the room my wife can control Spotify with her phone)

If implemented correctly this would match the functionality of Sonos for a much lower price.

Update February 4th 2014: Okay, so Google has released the SDK now. Please start working on the functionality or at the very minimum give an update to the status...

Update February 19th 2014: 2,000 kudos, hundreds of replies (with more than a handful of cancelations). Apparently Spotify Germany has confirmed Chromecast support is coming. An update would be nice

Update March 24th 2014: 2,500 kudos and still no update. Cancelled my subscription today. Sorry, but if you don't listen to your paying customers we will have to speak with our wallets.

I'm finding myself using Pandora with my Chromecast now even though I'm paying for the premium membership of Spotify.  I assumed that with the premium membership I was paying for the development and access to the latest features (i.e. mobile access, chromecast).  Aparently this isn't true.

If keeping your premium members is a priority, I would recommend dropping your other "prevaling priorities" because we don't want to buy a smart TV from you or any new hardware.

I was a Spotify subscriber, and when google play music came out, I subscribed to them, to compare. 

You guys blew them out of the water so I unubscribed from them and stayed with you.

Your product is robust and very user friendly (love Discover, for example), and your collection is great.

One thing you're missing is presence. 2 places you need to show up fast: Xbox and Chromecast. You need to allow your loyal subscribers (like me) to have more entry points with the technologies they use. That way I'll stay with you despite their offerings.

Go guys! You're doing a great job! Keep it up!

Please build a chromecast app. I love your product - best music app out there - period. But now that I'm using chromecast for everything else, I have a glaring hole with no music streaming (I'll use pandora in a pinch but its a stopgap, for now anyway) Please prioritize this to something to be released in the next couple of months. Thanks 🙂

Just got a Chromecast today.

WOW!

I have been a Spotify premium customer for over a year.

I am looking to stream music through my home entertainment system and have a limited budget for entertainment.

Spotify, I hope for your sake you figure this one out quick because you could potentially lose a lot of customers to competing services.

...and WTF! When is Linux gonna get a native Spotify client?

This would be absolut beautiful to see. Even do the play.spotify.com works well atm Its just a bit to much. And the Chromecast is what I feel the only alternative to an Apple TV atm.
