[Android] Swipe to Queue a Track

Firstly let me say I have been using Spotify since it launched here in the US and have seen a lot of great improvements over the years. Great job!

I am a music listener who likes to let the current track play out before starting a new one.
I love what you have done on the iOS side with swipe to queue.

Can you show Android some love and put this story in your backlog? 🙂

Thanks for listening!

Hey folks,

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Idea Exchange and voting to make this happen.

We're happy to announce that this feature is now rolling out on Android devices. If you don't see it yet, don't worry as it will be available for you soon. Just make sure to keep your app up to date.

Once again, thanks for helping us make Spotify better, by participating here on the Community.

Hello, I've recently switched to Android and was shocked that the swipe to queue feature (which is my favorite Spotify feature of all time and what I had thought to be a staple of easy listening) isn't implemented on Android. If we can please get a ticket for this and add it as a priority since it's been requested since 2015. It helps me customize a temporary playlist for whatever mood I'm in quickly: car rides, workouts, even anxiety attacks.  Thanks!

We're coming up on 4 years of this issue. Can you just be honest with us and tell us you never plan on implementing this overly simple feature. Being a former iPhone user this feels like a broken relationship where I'm just with Spotify because of what it was and may be in the future, not because of what it is now. Every month I cancel my membership and the only reason I come back is because my playlists are too big. And I don't think I'm alone in this, the day i find enough energy to transfer my playlists I'll leave and I won't look back because Spotify doesn't have any outstanding features besides the swipe to save and queue. It doesn't have exclusive A-List artists who release their album only on Spotify like Tidal and Apple Music. Yet you're helping a competitor out by providing them with the true version of Spotify while we get the defected one. Show that you care about all of your users and our experiences, unless we're just numbers and can be outweighed by numbers preceeded by a '$'.

Contrary to popular belief, it is not as simple as "ctrl c, ctrl v" or "copy and pasting it over" there are several other variables in place when it comes to coding for a different type of OS, the same way an xbox game will not work in a playstation or Nintendo. IOS code will not just simply work for android.

Right... but it's even easier to implement on Android than iOS so that's irrelevant to this situation

I switched from iPhone to Android and the "swipe to queue" is really convenient in my iPhone but what happened to Android?  you have to press and hold to pop out the menu for the song and choose to add to queue manually, THAT IS LAME! and not convenient. SO PLEASE IMPLEMENT THIS TO ANDROID OR ELSE YOU'LL LOOSE SUBSCRIBERS. HEY @__spo__ you should really listen to your subscribers and make us happy. so we keep your subscription.

I think everyone here, even if they knew the feature wasn't going to happen, would really appreciate some sort of response about why.  I switched to Android and now I feel like I'm being punished for it. There are plenty of features on Android that I like but when Spotify has the feature on one OS and not the other it just seems unreasonable.  I can't switch back to Apple because of one feature in one app, even if it's the one I use the most.
