[Android] Swipe to Queue a Track

Firstly let me say I have been using Spotify since it launched here in the US and have seen a lot of great improvements over the years. Great job!

I am a music listener who likes to let the current track play out before starting a new one.
I love what you have done on the iOS side with swipe to queue.

Can you show Android some love and put this story in your backlog? 🙂

Why is it still "Not Right Now"? It has been 2 years since the last update. And this request has been open since 2015. Just wow...

It's incredible this is not done yet - moreover it being relatively easy. Android users are treated as second class citizens, regardless of them paying the same. Shameful.

I didn't know IOS Spotify users are able to quickly swipe to add a song to their queue.

for years I've wanted an easy way to queue music when I'm on the go... and it's annoying to have to go through more than one tap for each song.

 

also, I love a nice fade in and out on songs. make a toggle option to have this happen even when manually skipping tracks, not just in some playlists

i think its a shame, that such a nice litle feature, every android user has been asking for years, is not possible to implement.... then i ask myself, why you release an android app, if you extremly prefer the ios app... sorry Spotify stuff, but this is a shame.

How is this a "not right now" idea? This seems like a basic UX improvement and would make it so much easier to construct a queue. This is my favourite feature on iOS. After switching to Android it take three times as long to build a queue. As a long-time customer, I'm disappointed. Tough to rationalize why this wasn't fixed five years ago.

 

Spotify, please add this feature.
