[Android] Swipe to Queue a Track

Firstly let me say I have been using Spotify since it launched here in the US and have seen a lot of great improvements over the years. Great job!

I am a music listener who likes to let the current track play out before starting a new one.
I love what you have done on the iOS side with swipe to queue.

Can you show Android some love and put this story in your backlog? 🙂

Yes, this ticket will likely be closed instantly, but this is for awareness. If the Android Spotify community repeatedly asks for the "swipe-to-queue" feature year after year after year, maybe it's a good idea?

Sorry, but it seems like you guys just don't care one bit. We receive a "swipe-to-pin playlist" feature that is totally useless.

This is not a UI issue or even API issue. It is deliberate negligence.

Spotify, use the huge number of developers on your team! Or close this ticket and ignore this massive elephant in the room for yet another year.

Thats the one we all need. It really sucks. Most when ur drunk or partying. Or just to get it easier. Its done for apple too. So why not for android as well??

Gotta say its a bit embarassing to see this really needed feature turned down so easely. And i bet im not the only one with that thought. If you read this comment post a link to this idea all over your social media to get it finally done. This app has gone so far. So lets not stop the development. Go further. Grt things done and please spotify. Give something back to the loving community!

The obvious negligence for Android users is astounding, QoL changes matter to many of us.

The reason I haven't switched to other services in the years I've been a subscriber is Spotify always being refreshing in my music as well as embodiment of peers making one dependent within the social circle.

It's been an honor being a beta tester for quite a while, always hoping for this feature to be finally implemented.

I noticed when switching from iPhone to Android that a function I use all the time wasn't there on the android version. Namely that if you swipe right on a song it'll queue that song. I really miss this function on Android and would love it if you could add it there as well.

JUST ADD SWIPE TO QUEUE ON ANDROID ALREADY. I HAVE SEEN TOO MANY POSTS ON HERE COMPLAINING ABOUT IT WITH NOTHING BEING SAID. I DONT SEE HOW IT CANT BE CHANGED WITH AT LEAST 10 LINES OF CODE. PLEASE JUST LISTEN TO YOUR COMMUNITY AND ADD IT. Sorry for yelling 🥰

1. Please finally implement the gesture features, like swipe to queue track or the swipe up/down for now playing, on Android, it has been 6 years.

I'm really fed up with Spotify treating their android users like 2nd class users.

It's not so difficult to code a feature like that, so please don't refer to the 2015 post where this feature is still put on "Not Right Now". And don't act like there aren't enough people asking for this there have been requests like mine every half a year or so

i have recently found out that on iOS you can swipe to queue music this is a great feature and I am sad to not have it on android.

I really think this is Apples work, maybe they own that much shares of spotify, that they sit in the board and have a right of voting for the implementation of main features. By rejecting this request they could possibly drive android users to using an iOS device again if they've ever experienced this absolute essential feature. Theres no common reason for not implementing it. We've seen that it works with the pin function of playlists.
