Bring Back Sorting in Search Results

This is bad, guys!

Once was the day (last week) you could sort all of your search results by artist, album, length OR popularity simply by clicking on the name of that column in the full search results view.

It's even mentioned in a "Solution" from last week.

Now, the column headings are unresponsive and there is now way to group the results of your search, like when you want to see different versions of the same song by one artist:

New Search Results

There seems to be some problems w/ the search function in other aspects of the redesign so perhaps a fix is in the works?

Spotify's greatest strength is the diversity of music accessible but people enjoy it in different ways, not just by popularity.

Please bring back sorting in search results!  This is big hole!

Hey folks, we're happy to announce this feature is rolling out to customers now. You will have sortable columns in search on Desktop coming your way. Thanks for your feedback everyone.

Why would someone pay for Premuim when Spotify can't get user friendly basics right like sorting a search? How many times has this feature been broken and fixed only to be broken again. Very frustrating.

The sort capability has been removed again from the search results!

Why do you do that, Spotify? Not thinking or not testing?

Annoyed.

I was searching for a specific song called

When a woman loves a man.

So of course all I get is

When a Man loves a woman.

I wish I could get search to be more specific.

Daydream by the Lovin spoonfull .. a huge hit .. doesnt even show up. If I search "What a Day For a Daydream" I get the song but not the original? what up ...

Do I have to go back to Apple Music?

@bobsax You can include the song name and the artist in the search for
better results

Thanks
I did , but sometimes you can’t remember the name of the artist. And the main thing is I am looking for new versions of that same songs. The best way I’ve found to do that is to somehow get the search to only give you tracks named a particular song. This does not seem to be an option? YouTube does it, I can’t Spotify?

Really p*ssed off with this cr*p now. I do voluntary work for local hospital radio and it takes me HOURS AND HOURS longer than it used to to compile a two hour programme. Thanks A LOT GUYS ! You're getting worse than Amazon for

not listening to VERY long time customers !!

I second, third, fourth....the sentiment to bring back the sortable columns in search. This is the easiest way to find specific songs and covers of songs. It is fine to recommend top search results, but allow us the opportunity to sort.

It seems that this function has been lost due to a recent update.  Please bring back sorting in search results!

Why this feature (sort alphabetically feature in searchs resultslists) has been removed? It was a very usefull feature. Now it's very difficult to discover songs using not totally defined match criterias (the most of the time when you're doing music "archeological" work you have no totally defined match criterias) when the search returns more than one hundred songs.

I think this feature must come back.
