[Desktop] Equalizer for the Desktop Version

There should be an Equalizer for the Desktop version of Spotify.

EQ1.png

Since Spotify's mobile apps now have an EQ setting, this should be implemented on the desktop version, too!
The EQ should come with various presets but also the ability to save your own custom settings.

Hey folks,

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Idea Exchange and voting to make this happen.

We're happy to announce that the Equalizer option is now available on desktop - and is gradually rolling out to all users over the next week. You will be able to play around and customize the sound of your music for a better listening experience by toggling your Equalizer on your computers.

Once again, thanks for helping us make Spotify better, by participating here on the Community.

Very few Windows computer sound cards/audio interfaces actually come with EQ. That's why I recommended Equalizer APO + PEACE GUI above. Free way for all Windows users to have EQ system-wide.

I just renewed my Premium account to see if any playback updates had been added like an EQ and I see that it hasn't. Well on mobile it has but not the desktop version. And that's sad!!!! An EQ of some sort is standard in just about every digital music player. Windows has had since forever and no one even uses WMP anymore. Surely you all can have one.

Like most others have stated, majority of my listening time is spent at home and in my office on my iMac. I'm very tempted to cancel my account again and go back to Apple Music. As much as I prefer the interface and layout of Spotify, audio quality is the most important element in your music listening expereince. To much work is put into production and mixing for users to not hear the music as it's intended to be heard. Come on Spotify, you guys you did it for mobile,  go on and throw one in for desktop.

Here you go, Spotify, people are already cashing in on the missing key features and this is not a good thing for commercial product like Spotify. This could be a solution but there is no Mac version and it does not seem fair to buy a plugin for EQ when you are already paying 10 bucks monthly.

Basic, very basic. Please implement the equalizer... why would you not do it?

While I hate Apple Music interface, I like the sound to be equalized to my taste... please don't make me go there.

Hi Spotify guys, after so many comments I expect you will leave the "not right now" and you will be working RIGHT NOW on it. What are you waiting for? Not enoguh comments?

They are hemorrhaging paying customers like crazy - all because of a stupid EQ. There's a ton of open source code for EQ's - all they have to do is implement it, for crying out loud.

For Windows 7 and newer users, see my earlier post about the free, open source Equalizer APO + PEACE GUI. It's a system-wide EQ.

One tip: when you launch it, it seems like nothing happens. But it installs it's eq in the menu bar, upper right. BAM!

Why would you mark such an exceedingly popular request as "not now"? Unless you don't like having subscribers. I'm seriously asking, poor business choice. I'll even program it for you I'm a pretty avid programmer I'll do all the work and send it to you lol.
