Integration of Spotify and BMW Connected Drive

Status: Implemented

It would be great to be able to manage Spotify through BMW iDrive, either by a dedicated Spotify app on BMW system or at least by a connection of iDrive controls with Spotify app on the iPhone.

Since Spotify is now available for BMW Conected Drive on the iPhone, we'll mark this topic as 'Implemented'.

I noticed that the Spotify app disappeared from my BMW F30 for the Idrive.  I can use it via Bluetooth but the app was more convenient.  I hope this gets addressed ASAP!

Hi, 

 

This app should be added back to the idrive 6 system. The spotify app let you safely change songs through the app as opposed to now not being able to do this. A bad move on spotifys behalf. 

 

Please bring the app back!

Spotify app doesn’t work properly in my BMW using Bluetooth with my iPhone 8 or my wife’s iPhone 11. 
I’m experiencing hick-ups when playing and car display freezes on the first track played after being connected to the car.

I’ve read about these issues all over the internet and they appear related to the Spotify app.

I tried Apple Music on both devices and then streaming and track displaying works flawless.

 

Can I expect an app fix soon?
