[Mobile] Get rid of 'Create' button on mobile navigation bar

marcoslaporte8_1-1729535408614.png

I recently got the last update, and found that a fourth button was added to the bottom navbar. What's the point of this? It's in the way of entering 'Your Library' section, as this was the default spot for that button.

Besides that, does it really need to have a shortcut? How often do people create new playlists or blends? There's already a button for that in 'Your Library', so...

I think removing this button will improve UI.

Hey folks!

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Idea Exchange.

We're setting this one to ‘Implemented’. Check out the steps here to learn how to hide and display the Create button.

Once again, thanks for helping us make Spotify better, by participating here on the Community.

If you don’t see this yet, we continuously test and refine features to give users even more control of their Spotify experience so your friends still might see something you don’t. Rest assured, we'll let the team know about your thoughts on this. You can continue to let us know what you think here in Community.

the new settings to turn off + button on nav bar appears at [my profile icon click -> settings -> contents and display -> + button toggle on the bottom of the list]. I successfully removed via that menu.

in case anyone missed it, on the ios app go to settings > content and display > toggle off create button, it should be the last option at the bottom of the screen

The newly added “Create” tab in the main menu bothers me. I’m one of those people who lose interest in an app when the interface I’m used to changes. When the app gets an update, I should be able to choose to keep using the old interface.

@sxphinx

not just apple's os, it works on any mobile os.
glad they gave the ability to remove this. as a developer myself, i know how such stupid ideas emerge: mostly there is some department head or even lead developer who thinks this is a good idea, despite many people in the team arguing that this will backfire. instead of fixing major issues or bugs, developers are told to implement this "new feature" just for the sake of "something new", which makes it easier to justify that the monthly subscription fee is increased (again). doesn't matter if the "new feature" is any good, as long as it looks new or better it's good enough.
