Student Discount in Australia

I propose the student discount available in USA to be available in Australia. It is very much needed.

The UK and the US have a student discount why doesn't Australia??? UNIDays already has a great student verification system why can't you implement it. ALL I ASK is that a spotify employee actually responds to the progress of this idea. IT WAS OPENED THREE YEARS AGO and STILL NO PROGRESS. APPLE MUSIC IS HALF THE PRICE. THAT IS AN UNJUSTIFIABLE DIFFERENCE. OPEN YOUR EYES SPOTIFY AND PLEASE NOTICE THAT YOUR LOSING THE MUSIC STREAMING SERVICE RACE. WHY SHOULD ANYONE EVEN STAY WITH SPOTIFY IT IS A COMPLETLY MONEY GRABBING RIP OFF SERVICE. Even without a discount for 12 months Apple Music = $120    Spotify = $144 YOU NEED TO REWARD CUSTOMERS FOR LOYALTY, BECAUSE YOU SURE NEED IT.

Just signed up to Apple music for $5.99 a month!! I have a free 3 month trial too... Hoping spotify does something in that 3-month period for students otherwise me and lots of my other friends WILL swap to apple music. It's been 2 years since this initial idea was thought of!

i have a student email address however Spotify keep emailing me advising it is not available in that area.  I am about to cancel spotify and go with someone else if they cannot at least communicate with me. Just email saying no.  Not happy with this service.

3 years later and #spotifyAU has done jack? My premium trial is running out and so is EVERYONE's patience and frankly also their bank accounts. $12/month is ridiculous for anyone let alone students on a budget. Both the UK and US have a 50% discount, yet the rest of us don't? Step up spotify, listen to your customers.

I have been a happy and loyal customer of Spotify for a period of 2 years using premium

I would love to get a student discount as I believe if the US gets it, we should have the right too!

Especially because I dont have a job haha

Go to Apple it is only 5 per month and much easier to use than spotify

Yeah I'm going to try Apple Music out, and if I prefer it, I'm 100% going to swap to them, because it's a massive price difference! 

Why pay more for the same service?

and obviously Spotify doesn't care about this situation... especially because it's been a topic talked about for ages and nothing has happened! This  will result them losing their loyal customers

I have an Android phone so going to Apple music is not the preferred option
for me
