A way to keep a record of who recommended a song or how we found it

I would love to keep track of who recommended me which music, or where I discovered a new artist or song.
I add all the music I like to my Liked Songs list and I find the Date added field to be particularly useful. But I would love to have a way to add more info other than the date added. It can take two forms, one is automatic using meta data that shows for example that you added the song from a certain playlist or by clicking on a link somewhere etc. The other could be manual (and totally optional) where you can attach the name of the person or place where you discovered this song. 
At the heart of it is a way to remember over the years the story of discovering your favourite artists and tracks and the people or incidents that got you to finding them.
