ARTIST OR SONG PLAY LESS OPTION

I tried searching for existing ideas on playing frequency of the same artists or individual songs and couldn’t find anything specific enough so here it goes.

i’m a playlist user and have a catch all mega playlist for songs i’ve always enjoyed regardless of the time period I listened to it. It has <2,000 songs on it and covers a variety of genres so I feel it’s diverse enough in artists as well as type of music that a shuffle SHOULD give me the best vibes.

I find when I use the same shuffle queue for days on the same playlist, I still get too many plays of the same song or artist that it makes me want to play them LESS but not remove them or permanently hide them from the playlist.

The dislike function in the Discover Weekly seems to work well in this regard but it is only available there currently. It seems counterintuitive to not have this on playlist options that anyone can make for personal or public use. I’ve tried using the Liked Songs option as a way to play individual or specific artists more often and try to limit play throughs of songs that are particularly overplayed in the playlist itself but it seems to be getting to the point that it doesn’t impact the shuffle queue. I’ve tried playing specific songs and artists more by manually beefing the song play count but this also seems like something that’s already trackable internally within Spotify programming.

just a thought! I know it’s lengthy. Any suggestions that aren’t in the help or support articles are welcome!
