Add an option to disable auto-play when sharing songs to Instagram Stories

When I share a song from Spotify to my Instagram Story, the song automatically starts playing in the story preview.
However there is no visible option or button to mute or disable the auto-play feature.
I would like to have an option to turn off the auto-playing audio when sharing to Instagram Stories, so I can post a silent story with the song artwork only if I prefer.

I completely agree. I have no idea why this was changed to automatically play a random 5 seconds of the song – it’s incredibly frustrating. This kind of update is not user friendly at all when we have no control over any of it.

At the very least, there should be an option to turn audio on or off when sharing.

If removing the audio isn’t possible, then please give us more control:

1. Let us choose the specific part of the song that plays

2. Allow us to set the duration

3. And ideally, give us the option to disable audio entirely

This would make the feature way more user-friendly and actually enjoyable to use.
