[All Platforms][Your Library] Delete Songs from Account History

There should be a way for me to control my history of songs played. Sometimes I accidentally play things I don't want to hear or I try listening to songs I don't like. I should be able to remove them from my history so that my stats are accurate for song and music suggestions.

Also....My account was hacked and someone played music I would never listen to. I can't delete those songs from my history. I can only remove them from my recently played section. I DON'T LIKE THAT!

I tried to ask a customer service agent to delete the songs, but they said it couldn't be done. Wow! Move to the 21st century, Spotify, and give your customers some more control. Sheesh!

This was submitted in 2019 and marked as a good idea, it's now 2025 and there's no sign of any progress? C'mon Spotify.

Every day one of my daily mixes is completely wrong and not my taste in music at all, it's so infuriating. I should be able to make intentional influences to adapt the algorithm, not just be a slave to what Spotify decides on my behalf. More power to the user please.

Up! This needs to really be considered, despite the algorithm I do know what I really listen to. I for example misclicked on a Joe Rogan episode one time then immediately stopped it afterwards, but the mere fact that it's stuck FOREVER in my listening history is a lack of choice that shouldn't be that hard to give to your users!

I have a family account and have set up a separate account for my home device. However, one day I decided to link my playing Spotify on my phone to the speaker and didn't realise that it linked the whole account. I love having the recommendations but it linked to my Google device and now I get nursery rhymes .... Crud.

Could we have it so that recommendations are based on device this would mean that the music that you listen to while cooking dinner as a family and eating dinner would be suited for the audience and then when I'm driving in the car or listening on my earbuds. It would give me recommendations that usually happen in those areas.

I'm so surprised that this feature isn't available, even just deleting them out of my history. I'd be happy to spend the time to get rid of nursery rhymes and my kids teen songs from my recommendations as I love the recommendations as it introduces me to new music. Such an easy feature to put on the app.

How is this tracking?

It's 2025. Please make option to remove recently played!

It's simple.

Make the option to delete / remove / clear recently played songs and audiobook.

It's been raised multiple times over the last 6 years..

So you are telling me this idea is from 2019 and it is now 2025 and we STILL DO NOT have the ability to delete what WE want??? I can't believe it...

I also wanted to delete my history since I've tried some more spicy audios that I do NOT want to show up anywhere when I hand my phone to someone to add a song or something.

But who would have guessed, the spicy thing are in the small icons on the top everywhere AND get biiiig icons in the "recent" category as well, so they are all over the home screen in the app.

Amazing.

So now I can't give my phone to anyone without a panic attack because of what might suddenly show up again?? wow...

Why am I still getting ads in my playlists when I have paid for Premium?

One by one my friends have lost interest in the yearly Spotify Wrapped for one reason: they had children. Those children want to listen to Baby Shark and Moana. Baby Shark and Moana make up their entire Spotify Wrapped.

This change would make this feature fun for parents of little ones again 🙂

Yes but apparently nobody at Spotify reads threads for changes.
