Birthday Special Features

One of the things I like the most about Spotify is the way it interacts with the user. Unique playlists made for you, pop culture, special events etc.

But I always wanted to implement this special connection to birthdays too. 

My idea is that Spotify could ask you for your birthday (MM/DD), and that way, when the day arrives, you can get special features, like a birthday playlist made just for you based on your listening, and if we want to take it to the next level, even have some artists you listen to wish you a happy birthday on a vertical video just like the ones they make for Wrapped, 

It doesn’t need to be a custom video, it can be generic (like Taylor Swift just wishing a happy birthday, without names or anything).

I think this way Spotify could connect even more with us as users

That's an awesome idea. You have my vote.

Spotify I hope you're looking at this. A nice touch of personalization goes a long way to retaining users. 

My siblings and I had many birth dates close together. Our parents were always getting birthdays mixed up.  When I turned 21 not one person said happy birthday to me, until late in the evening when they realized. By then it was too late. 

So Spotify this would be a nice addition.Users opt in by listing their BDay. If they don't they're opting out.
