Bring back ability to control volume of connected devices via phone, without having to enter the app

For a long time I was able to connect my phone to the web player and control the volume of my music and podcasts by simply bumping the volume buttons on my locked phone. One of the recent updates for the mobile app removed this feature, making it to where you have to unlock your phone and enter the app to move a volume slider on the screen. What was once such a convenient and easy feature has been replaced by something 10x more tedious and involved.

I used to be able to control the volume of the Sonos system with volume buttons on my phone and now I have 20 more steps to controlling the volume with the new slider UI. What a horrible experience and decision that ruins the UX of the app. Considering moving to Apple Music because of it. What a shame.
