Dear Spotify,
You’ve been increasing prices quite regularly – fair enough, you like money, we get that. But to be honest, the value for money just isn’t quite there anymore. If I’m paying a lot of money for Premium, I really don’t want to hear any ads. Anywhere. Not even in podcasts (unless they’re baked into the creator’s audio track, that’s obviously out of your control). I also don't want to pay for audiobooks that I can't even finish in a month because I ran out of time. Literally. As a frequent listener, that’s incredibly frustrating.
The idea:
Introduce a credit system where listeners with a paid subscription can earn credits based on how much they listen.
For example: X minutes = Y credits. These could then be used towards the subscription cost (aka discounts) or exchanged for perks, like a free month, free audiobooks (or additional minutes for audiobooks), or completely ad-free content. And before you come up with one-fits-all "fun" benefit that nobody really wants or needs, please make the rewards attractive for everyone. Give users the option to choose how they want to use their credits. Not everyone enjoys audiobooks, and not everyone cares about ad-free content. Many of us would probably appreciate a discount option.

Conclusion:
This way, loyal listeners would be rewarded rather than punished by constant price hikes, and it might become another nice USP for your subscription plans, drawing more paid users. I could go on, but you're clever. I’m sure you can see the benefits for yourselves.
Thanks!

Hey @The_Devils_Advocate
Thanks for bringing your feedback to the Idea Exchange!
We’re closing this idea since it doesn’t meet one of our Idea Exchange guidelines, namely point 7: “No pricing, subscription or content related requests.”
Thanks for understanding.
